Plan your Visit to Shenandoah Caverns and its Family of Attractions

All caverns tours are fully guided and are built as guests arrive. The longest wait time is approximately 1 hour, but often is less. You’ll be assigned a tour time when you check in. Tours run approximately 1 hour in length and cover 1 mile in distance. In the meantime, tour Main Street of Yesteryear, enjoy a meal at the Caverns Café, or explore our Gemstone Mining Sluice.

Shenandoah Caverns

  • Shenandoah Caverns is open 7 days a week,
except for December 25th
  • First tour begins at 10:00 AM
No reservations required
  • Lobby & Gift Shop: Lobby opens at 9:00 AM
  • Summer Hours: Memorial Day to Labor Day
No tours after 5:00 PM
  • Winter Hours: Labor Day to Memorial Day
No tours after 4:00 PM

Holiday Hours

  • Thanksgiving Day: Last tour enters at 1:00 PM
  • December 24/Christmas Eve: Last tour enters at 1:00 PM
  • December 25/Christmas Day: Closed
  • December 31/New Year’s Eve: Open
  • January 1/New Year’s Day: Open

Family of Attractions Hours

Main Street of Yesteryear Hours

  • Same as Caverns Tours/Lobby hours

Caverns Café Hours

  • Open Wednesday -Saturday 9:30 AM-4:00 PM

Gemstone Mining Sluice

  • Open seasonally, Easter through October, with the same seasonal hours as the caverns lobby

American Celebration on Parade

  • Open seasonally, Memorial Day through Labor Day,
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Last Tour Begins 4:00pm) Please call ahead to ensure this exhibit will be open.

2026 Shenandoah Caverns Admission Prices:

  • Adults: $34.00
  • Children (6-12): $16.00
  • Children (5 and under) are free
  • Senior and military discount available for onsite purchasing

Where to Purchase Tickets

American Celebration on Parade admission is separate from the Caverns. American Celebration tickets can be purchased at www.americancelebrationonparade.com or package tickets can be purchased here. Please note that American Celebration on Parade is a seasonal attraction, so please call ahead to ensure that attraction is open.
