The Gemstone Mining Sluice is a family favorite here at Shenandoah Caverns. Purchase a bag of mining rough in our gift shop and pan for amethysts, gemstones, arrowheads and more through the running water, just as miners did in days gone past. Buy another bag and take it home for more fun! This exhibit is open seasonally and weather permitting.
